This photo really isn't a true representation how beautiful this beach is. It's a stretch of white sands and aqua blue waters, uncommercialized that has yet to be over run by tourists. We rented a little bungalow on the beack and spent a couple days just lazing around. Our remaining days this week were spent wandering around the alleys of Stone Town. The architechture was incredible. Although I am a little disappointed that I missed ribfest this year and we will be spending Canada Day travelling 5 hours on a very bumpy road from Arusha to Nairobi, I've had an amazing time over the past 2 1/2 weeks. I might be paying for it for the next year, but it's been well worth it. We fly out of Nairobi on Sunday night and will be landing in Amsterdam the following morning. We managed to rearrange the flight so we could spend the last couple days wandering around Amsterdam. We will be back next Wednesday night and I am starting to look forward to it. I miss Tim Horton's and unlimited internet. Happy Canada Day! I wonder if we will be able to find poutine in Nairobi. For some reason I think my chances will be slim. As well - Happy B-day today Dad and Darth Phil! |
