Giant Tounge. That's what I would call this shot. Nah nah nah nah nah! I like it though. You have had some really great shots on your site recently. Nice work Christina! You seem to be developing a style of your own. I on the other hand am all over the map with my work. I just like so many different techniques and looks I guess. I am interested to hear more about the CS2 event. We must get out and shoot again sometime soon and I can hit you up for all your know how! iIn exchange I could let you in a little on the HDR scene. Cheers!

Cool that you went to a Photoshop seminar! That's something I need to do. I think I'll take up your recommendation and read the Understanding Exposure book. Look forward to hearing the tips you learned in the seminar.

re faq5... it's not a very secret technique. it's published on countless photoshop sites and in just about every photoshop for photographers book out there. just search for "soft focus" i don't get this attitude of keeping techniques that aren't particularly obscure as ones personal secret especially if the technique wasn't developed by oneself.

I personally think that a lot of your photos are slightly over processed, but that's just a matter of opinion. :)

schmee... i have had the opportunity of looking through your site, and you have some pretty amazing stuff. it's quite obvious that you aren't in any need of processing advice. unfortunately not everyone is as brilliant as you. you are absolutely right, it's very easy to google "soft focus" technique, or the "lomus effect"; or anything else for that matter. when i posted faq#5, it was not meant to come across as my personal secret, it was a poor attempt at humour. so what i don't get is your attitude... perhaps you should loosen up a bit and try processing in your tube socks, or maybe you just require a sample box of tampons?

Brian... thank you, i appreciate constructive critiscm, your comment has been noted.

christina, sorry if i came across as uptight .. i'm actually a really easy going guy. in re-reading my comment i can see how it looks like i was wagging my finger or something but i did get that you were joking. so, sorry if i wasn't clear. i thought it was enough to refer to "one" instead of "you". faq #5 just reminded me about this attitude i've been noticing in the photoblog community and i thought i'd make a general comment. i don't expect that everyone should offer full disclosure on the techniques that they've developed themselves. however, those commonly known techniques like soft focus that they themselves probably learned from someone else should be shared otherwise they're just being dicks. now, what i absolutely will not stand for is tube socks!
