I want a monkey( 04.19.06 ) PREVIOUS :: CURRENT :: NEXT
I got back from my little Southern Ontario tour last night and it feels like I have been everywhere and nowhere all at the same time. I travelled to Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton, Caledonia, Cayuga, Port Dover, Waterford, Grimbsy, Niagra Falls and then back to Toronto. There was a lot of mileage put on my car the past 5 days but there still wasn't enough time to see everyone that I wanted to see.

This photo was taken at the Zoo yesterday. I love visiting the animals and had a great time, but as I was looking through my photos last night I couldn't help but feel they were of a sad quality. It seems so unnatural. Take a look at this photo. This one was an accident, there is no post processing, it's a bit complex and confusing and I love and hate it all the same time.

I know what you mean... some places are sadder than others. What bothers me the most is when I see kids banging on the glass or bars, and screaming, to get the animals' attention while the adults look on passively or even giggling. I think even sadder is how the animals don't even respond to that anymore. I prefer Montreal's biodome to most zoos.

Today I am the monkey. Locked behind bars. Stuck in my cage.

Ya I've been experiencing the same feeling about my photos; I try to blame it on my lens or settings ugh.. I like the linked photo with the little boys reflection. Accidents occur for a reason perhaps?
