This is the first in a series of Ontario Ghost Towns I would like to visit this summer. If you are interested in going, be prepared to hop a big fence, walk through a field of mud, and get yelled at by the farmers next door. I'm telling you though, as a woman, it's so much easier to get away with trespassing. A little blonde woman with a big camera isn't very threatening. After some discussion they let me tour around the property.

i love shooting stuff like this and making up stories about its past. [ http://www.marcsworld.ca/marcsworld/index.php?curr_month=4&curr_year=2005&showimage=49 ]. being from Sault Ste Marie, i've traveled hwy 17 quite a bit, there are a dozen small deserted towns and one offs just waiting to be shot.

Some landowners shoot first and ask questions later.
