| I spent Saturday night at home playing around in photoshop. It was exciting. These were taken in the summer on the way back from the cottage. I loved the subject, but I couldn't figure out how to process them at the time. The originals look terrible but with some help from photoshop, I am now somewhat pleased. With some helpful advice from Andrew, I think I am getting a bit closer to figuring out the Durham technique. They also would have turned out a bit better if I had taken them in RAW. Next time. |

I like them both! The cows in the bottom one really stand out. So, what advice has Andrew given you? I am interested to know. I am still doing much experimentation with photoshop myself. I have uesd it for years, but only the last little while to do photo processing.

I love cows.
I grew up in the country, surrounded by this adorable, docile beasts.
I like the color in the top photo, the rust off the roof is complimenting to the tractor .. and the green, yellow and minimal blue just tie it all together nicely.
In the bottom one, by the way you cropped the photo .. exaggerates the towering trees over the cows, making them weee, little things. nice contrast.

Yeah, I really really like the trees in the cows pic. Also the various sized cows. It must have been an overcast day, cause the cows are shadowless!

Beautiful. I like both of them, but I guess my fav. is the cow shot. The way they are checking you out. Too bad they didn't have a camera.

They look great. I especially like the first one. Something is very right about it. The sunflowers are absolutely gorgeous!
