Nice textures and composition. I think this would look great with the old leather chair from a while back. It almost looks as though someone has lifted the cushion off to see if it was a pull-out or not and then decided not to carry it away. Ahh.. the days of brown pull-outs in the basement. We used to pull our out halfway and sit in it like a spaceship. If you can imagine that.

I agree with you ... this one tells a story. Nice!

you = Steve.
Also, if that's the story, then it's kinda funny, cause I can't imagine someone checking to make sure it WASN'T a pullout.

There is actually a story behind this one that I should have written about yesterday but I was late for work, extremely busy during the day, and just not in the mood. This couch had been sitting on Elgin for almost 2 weeks. By the end of the 1st day, someone actually did pull it out and made what seemed like a bed out of it. Over the next 2 weeks it slowly collected garbage and detoriated. I was going to document the life span of the couch, but people walking by made fun of me for taking photos of it. I didn't feel like explaining to people every morning why I was taking photos of this rotten couch. They wouldn't understand anyway. Alas the couch is gone. This will be added to "the treasures I find on the street" category along with my lounge chair and christmas tree.

what's not to love about this picture, what great light and exposure, love the crushed bottle, really comes to life.
