In memory of.....( 12.12.05 ) PREVIOUS :: CURRENT :: NEXT

Last week was a sad one in Ottawa as we mourned the deaths of an Ottawa University bio-chem student and two Algonquin College students.

Somerset St. was closed off last night and a candlelight vigil was held in honour of the two exchange students that were shot and murderded last week. This really hits home as it happened less than 2 blocks from my apartment. You can read the story in the Ottawa Sun or CBC today.

That's terrible. All this gun violence is getting a bit out of hand, especially in Toronto. It's amazing how someone can pull the trigger over something that is often meaningless.

sigh...sadness. I lived on Somerset for a while in chinatown back in '98/'99 and often walked right by here on my way to Sprint Computers... All this gun violence and murder is insane.

A sad time indeed. A sad time that we live in that this is happening more and more. Something drastic must be done.
