| UPDATE: Before anyone else asks me, and to answer Derrick's question, im not sure what this is but it's located at Meech Lake, Gatineau Park. I think it's an old mill of some sorts and it was used for some geological survey. I go often, I will remember to read the sign next time. And no.. this web site is still not completed. |

So what is this? Just a wall in the middle of nowhere? Haha

Cool pic, looks alot like that haunted house in Dundas. You know the one....where teenagers go to see just how brave they really are!

I'm curious about the large pipe jetting out of the ground.

I've been here before actually. It's where Algonquin takes you on your first photo field trip in the photo program. Also, when you first get introduced to all the pot heads. Which just happened to be everyone in the class.

I googled it and this is called the Thomas Carbide Wilson ruins. You can read more about him here: http://collections.ic.gc.ca/heirloom_series/volume4/192-193.htm

Carbide Wilson. Pioneer in the making of cheap acetylene. This was his hydroelectric generation station if I remember correctly, which is unlikely.

Great shot of something that is damaged and not useful anymore.
